Coldplay is a British band and quite good. They were formed at, not sure the exact name, a London University.
Mike Anonymys,

The third band is Coldplay. I enjoyed your theories. I do feel that The Beatles, U2, and Coldplay are the central bands of worldwide. And those three bands happen my three favourite. Yesterday I just heard the new single by Coldplay, Violet Hill, and let me tell you, it alreadys sounds really good, and very important. I can see their album Viva La diva as important as like Pepper and Joshua Tree.

Given that music is a medium to the spirit, what would change the equation in the balance of things currently in play? If I were responsible for one song, let's call it "Clocks", then what else should I do to help them along in this process?

The Third Band will obviously be in a city where both Dublin and Liverpool are at equal lentghs with each other, so it forms a triangle. It will be the same length as going to Dublin AND Liverpool

It´s not the first time that I´ve heard about the continuity between the beatles and U2, but man your theory is .....incredible, I really felt excited with every slide and image that I got in my screen, when I started I couldn´t image how you´d related the zooropa cover, and then, then.....I was afraid.... finally I really love u2, since boy to HTDAAB, but I think, as you say in your writting , what they had to do, they already did it, (sadly) HTDAAB, it was a return to the beggining, and finally 18 singles (windows in the sky) it´s not a great work, the creative process of the group is getting down, they look tired, and old- pashioned...I don´t think they create another JT, AB or ATYCLB ( even when I really wish they did it). to me the connection is real, and about the third band,...well I hope they´ll show up soon, ´cause what we call music at these days is just trash!!!!!

ok first of all! u2 has changed my life and the way i look at it they are truly an insperation to the world and its inhabitants bono ur my hero alnog with the edge larry mullen jr and adam clayton keep changing the world for the better

On August 11, 2007, there will be a global concert on 8 stages with U2, Sting, Rolling Stones, etc. Perhaps band #3 will be found on this day of music meant to inspire a new paradigm of peace on earth. Thanks for this entertaining website. I love the Beatles and U2. Claire of KLARITY.org Maui, Hawaii

I went through the connections between U2 and the Beatles … you obviously have spent a long time thinking about this. I will admit that as I kept reading, it kept getting more believable and I find the similarities between Sgt. Pepper and Achtung Baby to be the best indicators. Be Well. –Nik

Your research and resultant theory is very interesting and noteworthy. I have only read through your information once so far, and I intend to read it several more times so that I can grasp your more subtle points, but I think you make some incredibly insightful comparisons between these bands and their respective musical and psychological evolutions. There can be no doubt that the Beatles had a strong influence on U2, as they did on all bands that succeeded them. I often wonder how much further the Beatles would have evolved as a band if they had stayed together, and I am unendingly grateful that U2 realizes that the sum of the whole is much, much greater than any of its parts alone, so that we can eagerly look forward to their continuing musical evolution. I intend to study your work more deeply, and perhaps I can even contribute some information to your body of work in the future, as time allows. There is something very compelling about your theory, although I cannot express it in words at the moment. I would like to offer up my humble opinion (not based so much upon fact, as intuition) that the third band is the one that has been rehearsing with U2 for the past two weeks (at Abbey Road Studios by coincedence- or not), and who will be performing with them on stage tonight in New Orleans.

I love conspiracy theories and outlandish coincidences and I love the Beatles and U2. Your page is all of the above and I love it. Maybe Radiohead is in the running for band 3?
Jorge Moreno,

Hello, enjoyed your work. I definitely believe that U2 is the next Great band after the beatles, and I am tempted to say that as they have been there for so long, probably better. Some connections however seemed to me to be a bit farfetched. I am not sure about the third band either, because you seemed to have arrived at the conclusion using assumptions derived from a vague source, which might or might not be true. Also, although I am a huge U2 fan, who's to say that other bands could not have been the second great band. What about rolling stones, pink floyd, the doors? Maybe it'll be worthwhile to compare the album covers and whatnots of other bands to the beatles. My apologies if you already have

Moishele, this site hasn't just brought your dream together - it has begun to bring together old friends from far and wide, all expressing the same message...pride in you and much love. I echo that. Who better than us knows that everything happens for a reason? I'm keeping an article I read a few days ago for you - The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Weekend: BONO on playing with Paul in Live 8. Love, 'Hidef Romyou'.

You're either an extremely perceptive visionary, or a complete nut. If this was meant to be a joke, then it's hilarious. If it's not, then I'm scared.

Well I can see some of the similarities.. but I think some of them are going just a little too far off the edge. But your right... they do all seem to be connected.. Hmm is it some sorta plot ? Who knows.. maybe someone should ask U2 about these connections ?
Pop Mart,
Canada

I see some similarities, but I don't really buy in to all the conclusions that you have drawn here. I think you have to keep in mind that U2 and the Beatles are very similar in that they both have lasted a long time in the music industry. Therefore, of COURSE they will have experimented with similar techniques and color schemes, simply by virtue of exploration. However, I do respect your devotion to your theory, and am very impressed with this site. The amount of work that must have gone into it implies fanatical devotion, if nothing else. Katie USA -

I BELIEVE!! How can this have gone on for so long without being noticed? I'm not sure what those other people who commented were looking at but it all makes PERFECT sence! Maybe the need to get a new monitor... Great work!

I enjoyed your comparison with the Beatles and u2 covers. While I thought your "discovery" was original, it wasn't a surprise. The Beatles influenced everybody. The analogy of the Achtung album and the St. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was therefore unfair. Being a u2 fan, I flipped out and went to the Zoo TV concert. However, the St. Pepper's album had a much more significant im- pact. When it was released, the Beach Boys were quoted as saying, "We were wondering how we could, or anyone else, follow that." With Actung, the world was leaving the rock era. With St. Pepper, the world was entering it.

THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS WEB SITE I HAVE EVER SEEN, AND ALSO THEMOST ENTERTAINING. YOU PEOPLE DON'T NEED SERIOUS HELP, YOU DESERVE A MEDAL !
JOSH WHITEMAN,

OK, that was way out there but almost intriguing....if you are going to compare anything why not the obvious? Their music....first: 'God Part II' is a continuation of John Lennons song 'God'. Second: "This is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles. We're stealing it back." Helter Skelter is one of the many covers of a Beatles song that U2 does (all the rest are on hard to get imports (which I have)). Third: They both use symphonies to amplify their already immortal songs. Fourth: On POP the song 'Last Night On Earth' alludes to 2 Beatles songs "NEWS OF THE WORLD" (Polythene Pam) and "Sun sun here it comes" (Here Comes the Sun). One last thing Bono said once and I quote "John Lennon changed my way of seeing things."

I think we are brothers by heart. I just had exactly the same impressions about the covers (except the fact you saw much more connections...) Next Comparison: Beatles Anthology vs. Salome (Achtung Beibi Outtakes)

Congratulations! Your ticket to Pepperland is on the way. I must say the similarities of the Let It Be and Pop covers are striking- they would definitely go together in one of those album cover art books. Personally, I used to compare the U2 albums to Doors albums (Boy = The Doors, October = Strange Days, War = Waiting for the Sun, Unforgettable Fire = The Soft Parade, The Joshua Tree = Morrison Hotel, Rattle & Hum = Absolutely Live, Achtung Baby = L.A. Woman....the only problem is Under a Blood Red Sky would have to match up with a later issued Doors live album (Live at Hollywood Bowl.) Also, Zooropa and Pop can't really be compared to Other Voices and Full Circle, since thankfully Bono is still with us!!

Man its awsome! I have been great Beatles fan for 20 years now. My second favs? Thats right U2!!! But I never realized this "connections" before... Your site is absolutely entertaining. I wonder what Paul McCartney or Bono would tell about it. Someone must ask soon...
Gabor Peterdi,

Sure we can see the connections between colors, but what do colors tell?? Why don't you try to find a connection between the lyrics of the two groups. I am a fan of both U2 and The Beatles, but really the only true similarties I found on your site are between Let it Be and POP. Other than that connection you seem to be grasping at straws. Oh yeah here's another connection, All the members of both bands, except the guys with glasses, have facial hair on the covers of Let it Be and POP. . . ooh aah, how spooky. . .
James Chacko,

Wow! Wait, I'll say it backwards: woW! I think that the drugs I didn't take in the '60's are starting to affect me now. Very cool concept, though. I'll never look at a Beatles album cover the same. Keep up the Kewl Wurk.

Is there any mystical reference in U2's and Paul McCartney's collaboration at the Live 8 concert in London? Is there any link between Dublin and Liverpool?Which would be the third city?Maybe Cork or Hollyhead? Is all this necessary? Just sit back and enjoy the music. This is really what matters.
Boni García,

wow. You have really studied this. In the 60 Minutes show that aired a few weeks back with U2, Bono speaks of the Beatles, basically saying "what if they had been able to overcome their conflicts, what music would they have been able to make?". Did you see that U2 video, I 'm pretty sure it's "beautiful day", they are playing the song atop a building in dublin, which reminded me of the Beatles playing "let it be" atop a building? On 11/8/05, I saw U2 in concert for the 4th time in my life and had what I can only describe as an ecstatic religious experience. I felt oneness with the crowd and the band, there was this incredible love throughout the whole building.I thought if we could use this feeling throughout the world, all would be well. I am still trying to integrate that experience into my life and to use that to take out into the world. Like Bono has with his One campaign and using his influence upon world leaders.Today I heard he was named as a Time magazine person of the year for his work. Are you studying the parallels between U2 and Beatles spiritual journeys, like George Harrison and the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, with Bono's non-denominational radical christianity?I'm reading Walk On:the Spiritual Journey of U2, which has a lot of good info. I saw your posting in the @u2 webpage.

Thank-you, I thought I knew what ridiculous was until I saw this web-site. I dont think I've ever read such absolute nonsense in all my days. I really think you must have way too much time on your hands. Turning it into a science! What’s wrong with you? I mean hats off to you really, it cant of been easy making the concepts of great musical icons like U2 and the beatles seem so incredibly boring, but you sure managed it!! You might think, why am I wasting my time writing an e-mail about a web-site which I claim to hate! This is writing this e-mail will take a snippet of the time it took me to get over your horrendous web-site. I simply wouldn’t have been able to rest until I'd told you that you had made, without a shadow of a doubt, the most pointless, feeble, unconvincing, long-winded and down right boring web-site I have ever seen!!! I beg of you, please NEVER make another web-site as long as you live! I fear authorities may have to close the internet down just to banish it from existence. Hope to never hear from you again. Nick.

Any ideas on the third band?
Sean Puddy,
Canada

Dear Moi: First of all, I wanted to congratulate you on the page. The tenacity and creativity you have demonstrated is awesome. I definitely look forward to the next chapters in this unfinished story. However, I am going to take the opportunity to challenge the work, because I believe that the more it is challenged the more relevant it will become. Plus I just relish the chance to discuss this topic with you. First of all let me start by saying that this is a theory. In fact you have two here. A bigger one regarding rock and roll in general and a smaller one that that includes the Beatles, U2 and a third band yet to be discovered. This second theory is: “U2 inherited the legacy of The Beatles, more so than any other band or artist” I acknowledge that the two theories are inseparable, but most of this work focuses on The Beatles and U2 and the rest of the page is what we call the evidence that backs the “smaller” theory. It is with the evidence where I see most of the problems. Specifically, the connections and the system you use to connect album covers and other evidence. Lets start, obviously, with the “original sin.” The bible analogy is certainly a clever way to connect the covers especially because they don't connect. After that is where the problems begin because you abandon the bible analogies for other more “convenient” methods to prove the thesis. In other words it seems logic that if the bible analogy explains the first two connections it would also explain the rest. Let me give you another example of what I mean. The Help and Unforgettable fire connection. Here you choose a different system to aid us in seeing the evidence. By tracing four vertical lines you come to the conclusion that the columns in the Buildings match the arms of the Beatles. Thus, we have a connection. However, when I use this system (tracing four verticals lines in the other albums) I get nothing. Furthermore, what would happen if we would trace horizontal lines in these same two covers? Again nothing. In conclusion, you are evidently using the most appropriate system, with each connection to back your theory. I also wanted to mention the blood red sales connection. What is more evident here is that the covers are nothing alike. The similarity you point to is a stretch at best. The reason I mention this is because if we analyze these two album covers, we would come up with far more differences than similarities and that has to be relevant to the work. Lets move on to a “Hard Day's War” connection. Here the system connects the two albums in a complementary way, the two form the colors of the US flag, again you are using a unique system that would have to be repeated across the work in order to demonstrate your views. Another issue I wanted to mention is the inclusion of other material, aside from the covers to demonstrate the connections. Here the question would be is it the covers? Is it a picture other than the cover? Is it a video? Again a skeptic would argue that you are conveniently selecting among the vast material that both bands have in order to prove the theory. In conclusion, in order for the Ethereal Connection to be representation of reality it has to stand the testing of the evidence with several methods. For example bible analogies across the entire collection of the bands albums, or vertical lines or whatever system you choose to use. Also, if the analysis shows far more differences than similarities you should also have an explanation for this. I look forward to talking to you about this fascinating work. Love, Ernesto

Ahi dejo esa... Saludos,

Moises, Great Job putting together this project after all these years. Although it took me many hours to read it in its entirety, at the end, it was more than worth it. I may not agree with some of your connections and theories, since some of them are a bit of a stretch for me, but then, I guess that if they were that obvious, there wouldn't be a need for your project and it wouldn't be as interesting as it is. At the end, I definetely enjoyed reading them and it left me wondering about a number of things and of how, at the end of the day, everything in life is 'connected' and nothing happens 'by accident'. It also left me with the curiosity of the 'Third Band' and I already have some educated guesses of who they might be... Thanks for putting your time and effort in this project and thanks for opening our hearts, ears and minds... Your proud friend and huge Beatles, U2 and the third band?? fan... Finchel

I can´t help but to rejoice on your work, Dirty Moe. It fells as if it were yesterday when you showed me these connections, one by one on top of your bed in Urb Miranda. A lot of water has passed by since then. Your dedication and belief will give its fruits. The way you have explained these connections is magnificent. My love goes to you, your wife and your beautiful daughter Ilana.

Awesome DUDE!!!! wowowowwow. I have read through the connections but not the whole site yet...I was delayed due to power outage. Interesting that there was a hurricane the same time as your sites grand opening and the VMA's in town.... there were a couple things I want to talk to you about regarding the site, but Shabbat is starting. I am sure this site will bring you an immeasurable amount of light. I am blessed to be your friend...but don't let it get to your head you Aries freak! Ha Ha Love you!
